Newton's River Study

Year 5 had a brilliant experience visiting Lords Brook. As Geographers, the children studies the course of the river and learnt how to sketch it. They explored the meaning of a meander, explored river mapping and carried out tests to investigate the speed of the river.

World Thinking Day

A day where we express thanks for our community of Scouts and guides from around the world.

Love is in the air!

The school councillors hosted a valentines themed tuck shop. The children loved their sweet treats!

Elgar's Local Walk

Elgars explored Failsworth as part of their Geography topic on locality. They visited the Failsworth pole, the state of Ben Brierley and recognised human and physical features in the local area.

Drakes participated in balance bike training.

The training actively challenges them to maintain balance and aids the in developing the skills required to cycle independently.

Some children in Elgars took part in a multisport event at Higher Failsworth Primary School. They participated in a range of sports activities and developed new skills targeted around agility and coordination.
