Our Community Work
Community Work!
We do a lot in our local community and we try our best to support those in our neighbourhood.
Here is a flavour of what we get up to...
- Bag packing in Tesco
- Developing 'green spaces' in the local community
- Charity fundraising for various worthy causes
- Visiting homes for the elderly
- Collecting items to replenish toys and food for the local dogs home that burned down
- Collecting food for the local food bank
- Visiting the Mayor and helping her improve the local area
We had an insightful afternoon visiting the Mayor, we sat in the Mayoral Chambers and asked questions to the Mayor. We then had a tour of the Chambers and signed the Mayoral Guest Book!
We got a good insight as to what it would be like to be in one of these roles, we also found out what they do for our town of Oldham. We asked Mayor Jenny Harrison lots of questions, as well as finding out how we could become the Youth Mayor or Mayor one day!
