As it is World Book Day today, there are two short reading activities and one spelling activity for you to complete

 

Activity 1

Use the internet to research the book Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson. Below are some questions for you to find out the answers to!

• When was Treasure Island first published?
• Where did Robert Louis Stevenson get his inspiration from?
• What was its title originally going to be?
• How many different film and TV versions of Treasure Island have there been?

 

Activity 2

Design your own front cover for Treasure Island! You can do this on a blank page in your topic book or on the computer! I can't wait to see them next week 

 

Activity 3

Write your own story using as many of the year 5 common exception words as you can! Make sure you have spelt them correctly
