Autumn 2025

A group of our children had the opportunity to visit Manchester University’s Makerspace, where they explored the exciting world of coding, debugging, programming, and algorithms! 💡

They even created their own codes using microbits on iPads and Chromebooks - tech wizards in the making! We can’t wait to see how they bring these creative ideas and digital skills back to school ✨

The children stepped back in time to learn all about Roman forts and what life was like for a Roman soldier. They had the chance to handle and sort Roman artefacts, discovering fascinating clues about the past. The children even tested their teamwork skills by experimenting with different Roman army formations - including the famous Testudo formation.

Everyone showed great enthusiasm, curiosity and teamwork throughout the day - what an amazing way to bring history to life!

Fun Run Raises £310 for Great Ormond Street Hospital

On Monday 6th October, children from across the school took part in a fantastic Fun Run to raise money for the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Each class completed their own 2k route, with the focus on taking part, trying their best, and having fun. The event was filled with energy, smiles, and determination as pupils showed wonderful enthusiasm and teamwork throughout the day.

Thanks to everyone’s generosity and support, we are thrilled to announce that we raised an amazing £310! Every penny will go towards helping GOSH continue its incredible work caring for children with the hardest-to-treat cancers.

A huge thank you to all children, staff, and families for your encouragement, donations, and enthusiasm in making this such a memorable and meaningful event.

Bikeability

Some of our Year 5 children have taken part in Bikeability training, learning how to ride safely and confidently on the road. We are so proud of the skills they’ve developed - from signalling clearly to understanding how to stay safe in traffic.

☕💚 THANK YOU! 💚☕

A huge thank you to everyone who joined our Macmillan Coffee Morning! We’re so grateful to our school community for making it such a special morning - full of kindness, cuppas, and cake.
