Year 5 and 6 Football Tournament at Failsworth Soccer Centre.

The Football team showed great improvement over the course of the year, but with a few key players missing were unable to get the results they deserved. The children thoroughly enjoyed the tournament, with Archie Connolly coming away with an award for team work.

Year 5 and 6 C team football.

This tournament was the best tournament to attend as it saw four very inexperienced girls play football for the very first time. The way they grew in confidence as they played each match amazing to see. All of them took turns in net and worked hard on staying in their positions and trying close down opponents early. A special mention to Reece Sewell who supported the team by encouraging them and advising them on where to go and what to do. Harleigh Higgins came away with an award for perseverance and Scarlet Peterson came away with an award for Passion.

Year 5 and 6 Manchester School Games Qualifiers Rounders Tournament.

This tournament was the first experience for the Year 5 and 6 children playing rounders outside of school. They lost their first game to Hulme Grammar school and won their second game against Baretrees. Unfortunately this wasn't enough to send them to the finals but a lot of fun was had by all.

March 2019

A team and B team football against St Marys.

Propps Hall A vs St Marys 1-9

Propps Hall B vs St Marys 0-10

St Marys played some excellent football against both teams. Maizy Day worked very hard to get a late consolation goal for the A team. Although the matches were difficult ones they did them selves proud with keeping a positive attitude and a good team spirit. All kept trying until the final whistle.

Propps Hall B vs Baretrees 0 - 3

A much improved performance from both Propps Hall Teams. Propps hall worked hard defensively and used great communication skills during their matches.

December 2018

The Year 5 and 6 football team competed in a football tournament at Propps Hall. They played in tough matches against Higher Failsworth, St Mary and Woodhouses. This was a great opportunity for the children to begin to create some realtionships with children from other schools in the local area

November 2019

As busy month for sport with:

The Year 3 and 4 football team competing in a mini tournament, against some of the local school schools including St Marys and Higher Failsworth.

The Year 5 and 6 children attended a basket ball tournament at Higher Failsworth, Winning 2 out of the four games and finishing runners up in their Group.

Year 5 and 6 children also had the opportunity to attend a come and try tournament for children who haven't played a lot of competitive football. For a lot of the children this was the first time they had ever played football as a team against another school and they all showed real determination and gained some great footballing experience.
